Here at Len Stoler Hyundai, we’re excited to tell you about all the good work Hyundai is doing in its battle against cancer, especially the exciting news about the brand’s recent announcement. But first, a brief history lesson.
Since 1998
In 1998, Hyundai began its Hyundai Hope On Wheels® program to help fight pediatric cancer. The program started small—just the automaker and a group of New England Hyundai dealers supporting the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. But with time, Hyundai’s effort against childhood cancer grew to the organization that is today.
17 Years Later
17 years later, Hyundai Hope on Wheels® has donated $100 million to help fight cancer, helped share the stories of countless cancer patients and their families, and brought the world that much closer to its ultimate goal: #EndChildhoodCancer.
This Year’s Campaign
This year’s campaign is called Every Handprint Tells a Story to remind us that every cancer patient’s story (and every child’s story) is unique. Hyundai Hope on Wheels® will be sharing those stories through its website and social media channels. On those same social media channels, you’ll find an image you can use as your profile picture to help bring attention to the campaign.
This Year’s Donations
This September, Hyundai Hope on Wheels® plans to award $10.5 million to hospitals across the US to help them in their efforts against pediatric cancer. The non-profit is also planning on awarding its largest research grant in history this year: the $1 million Hyundai Quantum Award. The grant will be awarded to four hospitals, and each one will receive $250,000 for four years. This award will help them focus on cancers with low survival rates, improving the lives of children everywhere.
